Brussex County Council is an online sketch show, produced as a Final Production for the BA Television Production course at Middlesex University. The website is an experiment in non-linear content delivery, providing a series of sketches linked through the theme of a local council. It was shot on location in North London, in November 2006 and the site launched in May 2007. We hope to develop the site further, and use it as a platform for showcasing our comedic talents. Or lack thereof.
Also included is Five Star Service, a soap-operetta in five short parts. This was originally intended to be an interlude as part of a longer daytime show. The first three episodes made it to air, but unfortunately it was cancelled before the end of its run. It was all shot over the course of one day, at Chace Community School, Enfield.
Meet The Writers
Brussex County Council was written by Henry Imbert (also producer) and Ian Symes (director). It was born from a shared love of British sketch comedy, and a deep understanding and love for each other's brains and genitals. You can contact Henry (blonde one) at henry@brussexcountycouncil.com, and Ian (fat one) at ian@brussexcountycouncil.com.
